We All Need Reassurance

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with hundreds of professionals in the early childhood space. I’ve spoken with leaders from the National Head Start AssociationOregon’s Child Care Resource & Referral statewide conference, Oregon’s ECHO program, and new partners at First Five in Siskiyou and Shasta Counties.

While I always appreciate the opportunity to teach, what stays with me most are the conversations afterward—the moments when someone shares how the experience shifted the way they see themselves, their work, or the children they serve.

Again and again, one theme continues to emerge: relational health through connection.

That’s exactly why we do this work.

At Dr. Amy LLC, we help professionals understand how connection and support create resilience in the face of stress and adversity. We believe hope grows through connected, healing relationships.

Over the past two weeks, we’ve explored topics including:

  • Navigating Uncertainty in Early Childhood Spaces
  • Balancing Strong Backs and Warm Hearts as Leaders
  • Hope and Positive Experiences as Antidotes to Trauma for Young Children
  • Brief Intervention Strategies with Cards for Connection to help early childhood professionals respond to complex behaviors and big feelings

The feedback has been incredibly meaningful.

“Dr. Amy, thank you for seeing us. This was the best workshop I’ve ever attended. My cup is so full of tools, I want my whole team to hear this!” — Workshop Participant, Child Care Resource & Referral Conference

“This is exactly what I needed to hear today. Thank you. I can be warm and clear. Kind and strong.” — Leader, National Head Start Association

“This is the best ECHO I’ve ever attended.” — ECHO Participant

And one message especially stayed with me:

“Thank you for what you do in the world. And thank your husband and family for sharing you with all of us. You make a difference.” — Child Care Resource & Referral Participant

That final comment inspired me so much that I immediately reached out to invite this professional to join us at our Fall Conference.
