I’m wrapping up a tour of Southern Oregon and headed back to Marion & Polk Counties this week. All of that after 3 glorious days of our very own conference in Central Oregon. In the past few weeks, I’ve driven over 15 hours, trained almost 500 people, flown 4 hours, and spoken for over 32 hours. Wow. And while the travel is fatiguing, the people and our communities amaze and inspire me.
While it’s not uncommon for participants at conferences to approach me after I speak and share heartfelt stories, it’s also never lost on me how vulnerable that is. When people share their stories, it’s an honor to hold space and listen. I find that when I create space for vulnerability and model human beingness, people show up in profound ways. I’m humbled to do this work.
Below, you’ll find a letter that was slipped into my folder at the end of a Cards for Connection training. It’s from a Head Start teacher and leader. I was tearful reading it, and I hope it touches you too.

If your organization is ready to support staff who work with children and families, we’re ready to connect with you about our 2026 calendar. If you’re ready to train leaders at your organization on how to inspire others and support staff through relational leadership, you’ve found the right place.
Here are three ways to work with us in 2026 and create a transformational experience:
1. Host a Cards for Connection Conference for your organization. We can do this in person or virtually. Small groups of 12 people or organizational impact of 150 people – we’ve got you!
2. Host a half-day or full-day training on The CLARITY model – our way of teaching professionals accessible tools and trauma-responsive ways to understand complex behavior.
3. Work with Dr. Amy 1:1 with your leadership team. Dr. Amy can work with your group of leaders on: Relational Leadership, How to Have Tough Conversations, Creating Cultures of Trust, EQ for Leaders, and Leading through Times of Uncertainty, to name a few.
