Learn from the Deputy Director, Tabitha Jensen, of New Avenues for Youth how to create positive change for individuals, especially youth; but be ready to do your own work first! Tabitha’s honesty, humility and curiosity for growth are refreshing to listen to and inspiring to take in.
Tabitha is the deputy director for New Avenues for Youth. NAfY is a Portland, OR -based nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention and intervention of youth homelessness. They focus on the individual—their experiences, identities, needs, and goals—and help youth make positive change in their lives. Tabitha has Nearly 30 years of experience working in positions of nonprofit, government, and corporate environments, including most recently her tenure as President for Oregon public health association. I met Tabitha through the Oregon ECHO network and her work with youth in foster care.
